DAYWISE ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Leh | High-Altitude Acclimatization

Airport Welcome & Transfer: Arrive at Leh Airport (3,500 m / 11,500 ft), where our representative will meet you and facilitate a smooth check-in at your hotel.
Essential Rest: Spend the remainder of the day completely at rest. Ascending to high altitude requires a gradual adjustment phase to prevent Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Drink plenty of water, stay warm, and avoid physical exertion today.

Day 2: Indus Valley Heritage & Monastic Highlights

Morning Exploration: After breakfast, embark on a full-day guided excursion along the historic Indus River Valley to visit Ladakh's iconic spiritual landmarks.
Key Stops & Attractions:
- Shey Palace & Monastery: Ancient summer residence of Ladakhi kings featuring a massive copper-gilded Buddha.
- Thiksey Monastery: A stunning 12-story complex perched on a hill, famous for its resemblance to Lhasa’s Potala Palace.
- Hemis Monastery: The largest, richest, and most revered monastic sanctuary in Ladakh.
- Shanti Stupa: End your day at this white-domed peace pagoda, offering commanding sunset vistas over Leh town and the surrounding ranges.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass

Cross the High Pass: Post breakfast, set off for the valley of flowers—Nubra Valley. Ascend over Khardung La, legendary as one of the world's highest motorable mountain passes.
Desert & Monastic Sights:
- Diskit Monastery: Visit Nubra's oldest monastery and stand beneath the giant 106-foot statue of Maitreya Buddha overlooking the valley.
- Hunder Sand Dunes: Experience a unforgettable ride on the rare double-humped Bactrian camels across the cold desert.

Day 4: Day Excursion to Turtuk | Frontier Balti Village

Journey to the Frontier: Drive north along the Shyok River to Turtuk, one of India's northernmost villages located near the Line of Control (LoC).
Cultural Experience: Reopened to travelers in 2010, Turtuk offers an authentic Balti cultural retreat. Walk through stone paved lanes, explore apricot orchards, and admire dramatic views of the Karakoram mountains.
Return: Drive back to Nubra Valley in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok Valley

Scenic River Trail: Leave the sand dunes behind and drive along the roaring Shyok River directly toward Pangong Tso.
Lakeside Marvel: Resting at 14,270 feet along the Indo-China border, Pangong Lake is world-renowned for its brilliant shades of turquoise and blue (and famous for its role in 3 Idiots). Enjoy a peaceful stroll along the shore as evening sets in.

Day 6: Pangong Tso to Tso Moriri via Tsaga La & Chushul

Remote Wilderness Drive: Wake up to a tranquil lake sunrise. After breakfast, head south toward Tso Moriri Lake along a rugged, breathtaking high-altitude route passing through Tsaga La Pass, Loma, and Nyoma.
Stargazing at Karzok: Arrive at Karzok village on the shores of Tso Moriri—a sacred high-altitude lake teeming with rare migratory birds. Enjoy a hot dinner under the open sky.

Day 7: Tso Moriri to Leh via Chumathang Hot Springs

Return Journey: Enjoy breakfast by the turquoise lake before driving back toward Leh town.
En Route Stops:
- Stop at Chumathang, natural thermal hot springs bubbling beside the ice-cold Indus River.
- Drive through picturesque Ladakhi landscapes before reaching Leh by late afternoon.
