Day 1: Arrival in Leh | High-Altitude Welcome & Rest

  • Touchdown in Leh: Upon landing at Kushok Bakula Rimpoche Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.

  • Acclimatization First: Resting today is crucial to help your body adapt to Leh’s elevation of 3,500 meters (11,500 feet). Take it easy, hydrate well with plenty of fluids, and refrain from physical strain to keep acute mountain sickness (AMS) at bay.

  • Overnight Stay: Leh

Day 2: Sacred Monasteries & Historic Indus Valley

  • Morning Excursion: After a hearty breakfast, set out on a scenic journey through the spiritual heartland of Ladakh along the Indus River.

  • Cultural Highlights:

    • Shey Palace & Monastery: Historic former summer capital of Ladakh famous for its massive copper-gilded Buddha statue.

    • Thiksey Monastery: A majestic 12-story hilltop complex resembling Lhasa’s Potala Palace.

    • Hemis Monastery: The grandest and wealthiest Buddhist monastery in the region.

  • En Route Highlights: Visit the famous Druk Padma Karpo School (featured in 3 Idiots), Stok Palace Museum, and the sacred Sindhu Ghat.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

  • High Mountain Pass Drive: Check out early and head toward Nubra Valley, traversing Khardung La—one of the highest motorable roads on the planet, offering sweeping alpine views.

  • Valley Explorations:

    • Stop at Diskit Monastery to marvel at the 106-foot vibrant statue of Maitreya Buddha.

Day 6: Pangong Tso to Leh via Chang La Pass
